These are Kodachrome slide images of the people I met during my summer at Heppner, Oregon in 1982. Additionally, I include photos of flights and the landscape. The slides were developed by Kodak. The Army offered me per diem to stay in a motel; I opted instead to pay rent for a room in his house. I was driven to work each day by him. There might be one or two photos that do not "fit" - it has been a while.... Portland is included. P.S. I once lived 3 miles from the Mississippi for three years.
